Shaw Centre Carefully Curating Strategic Partnerships

Hands Shaking

Published on July 18, 2019

As one of the most frequently-photographed buildings in the nation’s capital, Shaw Centre is used to attracting a lot of attention. Beyond those who visit us for hundreds of events large and small each year, we also receive a lot of requests for sponsorship. While we appreciate that there are so many great causes to support, we remain committed to forging effective relationships and partnerships rather than simply embarking on the typical sponsorship arrangements.

We acknowledge that in today’s hospitality industry, all parties like to have their logos showcased as a supporting partner. However, we believe these displays are no longer enough to satisfy the partnership investment many corporations are making. Instead, we work with our prospective partners to identify common ground, common community passions and mutual corporate goals. This process has become the cornerstone of many of our most effective relationships.

Animating activation rather than presenting stagnant imagery has become the norm for those who wish to create truly impactful events. Here at Shaw Centre we are very honored and privileged to work with so many great local and national partners who help make our facility and the events we host so vibrant and memorable. A partial list of the excellent companies with whom we have developed partnerships includes:

  • Shaw Communications
  • Aramark (in-house catering)
  • Freeman (Show Services and Audio Visual, Rigging and electrical Material Handling)
  • The Coca Cola Company
  • Molson Coors
  • Big Rig Brewery
  • Pelee Island Winery
  • Dandurand Wine
  • Mark Motors
  • Boss Image
  • Creative Edge
  • McCabe Promotions
  • Ottawa Flowers

At Shaw Centre, our preferred supplier program creates a list of trusted and professional event service provider recommendations, assisting our clients in selecting suppliers that provide them with the tools to seamlessly execute their vision. We take pride in showcasing many local brands, helping to demonstrate what Ottawa has to offer to the world. We feel this is an important role for us to play, given that we have so many national and international attendees at the events we host. Thus far, our preferred supplier program has proven to provide solid opportunities to draw attention to great local companies and we look forward to carefully curating new partnerships in the future.
