For the 8th consecutive year, the Ottawa – Gatineau International Auto Show returned to Shaw Centre with over 300 cars from 34 manufacturers. Another popular feature to make its return this year was the Speed Trix Custom Bikes showcased at Shaw Centre’s Trillium Ballroom located on level 4. Also on level 4 were auto accessories, a Free Wifi zone, kids cars, electric bike rides, and a restaurant with Shaw
Centre concessions on the backdrop of the best view of Ottawa skyline.
Among the exotic and luxury vehicles showcased on level 2 were a Lamborghini Aventador, a McLaren 720s, a Lotus Evora 400, and a Ford GT. Two Teslas were also display on level 2 adjacent to one of the most popular returning features of the show, Hollywood Star Cars. Following last year’s display of the BatMobile were the ‘Smokey and The Bandit’ tribute Trans AM and Police Car combo, ‘Fast & Furious’ movie cars, and Canada’s best ‘Mad Max’ tribute seen for the first time ever in Ottawa.
“The Auto Show marks one of the busiest weeks for the Shaw Centre in terms of operations and guest attendance and it is a challenge that we gladly welcome every year,” said Blake Rainville, the Senior Manager of Facilities at the Shaw Centre. “We have to work precisely with intricate logistics to fill the whole facility with all the vehicles and it is all about managing all the moving parts simultaneously. It is something we take pride in because a positive guest experience is our best reward.”
